Measuring 360 x 200 mm, Owlfred is an unconventional take on a common bird of prey inspired by a painting of an owl made of metal spare parts and a clock face tummy seen in an art gallery window.

Using space-dyed Chameleon threads, DMC cottons andmetallics, Miyuki beads and Czechoslovakian flat back crystals, this project uses a huge variety of stitches as Follows:Bead embroidery: 4 techniquesCrewel embroidery: 29 stitchesNeedle Lace embroidery: 3 techniquesNeedle Weaving: 5 patterns.
