2" wooden spool.

Add a felted wool ball to the top of a wood spool and you have a pincushion! Tie a ribbon around the spool to add a little pizazz. 

Alternatively stitch some linen or Aida band, attach it to the spool and you have a beautiful scissor keep for your precious embroidery scissors!
