One of the morning tea favourites at Allthreads is a White Chocolate and Macadamia Nut Slice. It is one of my very easy but delicious slices and always very popular. I had many requests for the recipe so I thought it best to post it on my blog.
Ingredients:
- 125g melted butter
- 1 packet butter cake mix
- 1 cup coconut
- 150g (approx) of white chocoalte melts
- 110g packet of macadamia nuts (unsalted and cut in half)
- can of condensed milk (can use low fat version if desired)
Method
-
Preheat oven to 160 degrees if fan forced (180 otherwise) and grease and line a slice pan with baking paper.
-
Combine the contents of cake mix with melted butter and coconut and mix well. Spread mixture into prepared pan and bake for about 10- 15 mins until slightly brown. Cool slightly.
-
Sprinkle nuts and white chocolate melts over the base and and drizzle with condensed milk until covered completely.
-
Return to oven and bake for approx 25-30mins or until the edges are golden and the centre is firm. Cool completely in pan. Cut into squares and serve. ENJOY!
