This is an original sampler design. A sampler where old meets new. The top band is reminiscent of the early band samplers; the alphabet at the bottom is to honor all the young needleworkers who learned their ABC'S with needle and thread. The designs between the top and bottom bands are my favorite items to stitch and where old meets new. Rejoice evermore...a gentle reminder. The verse just seemed fitting for the times.

Stitch count is 251 W x 248 H.

Model was stitched on 40ct Antique Lace from Seraphim Fabrics and stitched with hand dyed cotton floss from Weeks Dye Works, The Gentle Art, Classic Colorworks & DMC.

Stitches - cross stitches over two linen threads for most areas, with a small amount of over one for the bible verse. Specialty stitches - Smyrna Cross, Algerian Eyelet, and Satin Stitch.
